Life Science Heart Dissection
7th grade Life Science completed an elk heart dissection as part of their study of the cardiovascular system during our unit on Human Biology and Health. While an elk heart is significantly larger than a human heart, the dissection was an excellent opportunity for students to gain "hands-on" experience in studying the structure and function of the heart.
